1. Scope
This policy describes the data handling built into the Tasflo application. It does not cover a separate website host, device provider, browser, extension, network administrator, or third-party link, each of which may process information under its own policy.
2. Information you enter
Tasflo can store a profile name, lane titles, task titles and descriptions, checklist items and notes, completion status, due dates and times, card colours, task order, creation and update timestamps, archived- and deleted-task information, and appearance preferences. The application does not require an email address, password, or Tasflo account.
3. Where information is stored
Workspace information is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. A small localStorage entry remembers the dark or light theme early enough to prevent a colour flicker while pages load. Tasflo does not use cookies.
Because storage is tied to the browser profile and site location, a different browser, private-browsing session, moved folder, cleared browser storage, or replaced device may show a different or empty workspace.
4. How information is used
The application uses your information only to display and operate the features you request: task organisation, checklists, search, calendar filtering, deadlines, progress, task archiving and deleted-task recovery, preferences, import or export, and locally generated viewable reports. Tasflo does not use workspace content for advertising, profiling, analytics, or automated decision-making.
5. Sharing and transfers
Tasflo does not automatically transmit workspace information to its creator or to third parties. Import reads a JSON file you select on your device, export creates a JSON file that your browser downloads, and Share report opens a locally generated HTML report in a new browser tab. Information leaves the application only through actions you take, such as sharing an exported file or report, printing or saving a report as PDF, copying content, or opening an external link.
6. Retention and deletion
Active workspace information remains in browser storage until you edit it, archive it, delete it, reset Tasflo, or clear the relevant browser data. Archived tasks remain stored until you restore them, move them to Deleted, reset Tasflo, or clear browser data. Tasks moved to Deleted remain recoverable for 30 days unless you permanently delete them sooner. Expired deleted tasks are removed when a Tasflo page is opened after the retention period.
Reset Tasflo clears lanes, active tasks, archived tasks, deleted tasks, the profile name, and preferences from the application’s saved workspace. An exported backup remains wherever you saved or shared it and must be deleted separately.
7. Your controls
You can view and edit workspace content in the application, archive and restore tasks, export a portable copy, create a selectively scoped viewable report, delete individual tasks, permanently remove deleted tasks, or reset the entire workspace. Because Tasflo does not hold a central copy, these in-app and browser controls are the direct way to access, correct, move, or erase your workspace data.
8. Security
Local storage reduces automatic data sharing but does not make information risk-free. Anyone with access to your browser profile, device, exported backups, or synchronised device storage may be able to access the information. Protect your device and backup files, and avoid entering sensitive information unless your environment is appropriate for it.
9. Hosting and technical logs
If Tasflo is opened from a hosted website instead of local files, the hosting provider or network operator may receive ordinary technical information such as an IP address, requested page, browser details, and access time. That processing is outside the application itself and should be described by the relevant host or operator.
10. Children
Tasflo is a general productivity tool and is not specifically directed to children. A parent, guardian, school, or organisation providing it to a child is responsible for deciding whether the tool and the information entered are appropriate.
11. Changes and questions
This policy may be updated when Tasflo’s features or data handling change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Questions can be directed through the Tasflo creator link in the footer or through any contact details supplied with your copy.
